HM-AA400
Howell
3506100010
AA400 is a one-part, acetic curing silicone sealant specially designed for glass bonding in doors and windows. Its acetoxy cure chemistry is chosen for quick curing, so glazing joints can be formed and finished without the waiting that a slower curing system would impose, and the single-part format keeps the work simple because there is no second component to add. The cured sealant offers good elasticity and can be used under a wide range of temperature conditions, which suits door and window assemblies that live through both summer heat and winter cold. Adhesion is good to general glass and aluminum alloys, the two materials at the heart of window and door glazing.
Acetoxy silicone
Good elasticity
Low density
Good adhesion
Sealant Grade: 12.5E
Construction
1.Cleaning of substrate surface
(1)The purpose of surface treatment before bonding is to remove oil, dust, surface damage and loose natural oxide film on the surface of the base material during the production and transportation process,so as to roughen the surface of the base material
and form a surface suitable for mechanism embedding.morphology, while improving surface chemical properties and improving durability under the influence of stress environmental factors.
(2)Cleaning solvents are usually isopropyl alcohol, methyl ethyl ketone, and xylene. The cleaning cloth should be white, clean, soft,
non-linting cotton.
(3)Use the "double cloth wiping"method to clean the surface of the substrate.Soak a clean cloth with solvent.Wipe the surface of the substrate in only one direction. Before the solvent evaporates, immediately use a second cloth with a clean dry surface.Wipe
the solvent off the surface of the substrate.
(4)Do not put the soaking rag into the container for soaking, otherwise the clean solvent will be contaminated and the cleaning effect will be affected.
(5)Only clean the bonding and sealing construction part within 1 hour each time. Do not expose the cleaned substrate surface to the air for too long.
2.Make a bet
◆Use plastic tape to cover the surface near the interface to ensure that the sealing working lines are perfectly neat.
◆Cut the mouth of the hose, install the pointed tube, and then cut it at a 45 ° angle according to the size of the gap.
◆Install the sealant gun and press out the sealant along the gap at a 45 ° angle to ensure that the sealant is in close contact with the surface of the base material. When the joint width is greater than 15 mm,sealant needs to be applied multiple times. After
gluing, trim the surface with a knife to remove excess sealant, then tear off the tape.If there are stains, use a damp cloth to remove them.
3.Pad material
Open-cell polyurethane or closed-cell polyethylene foam padding rods and polyethylene materials are recommended lining materials.Prevent sealant from sticking on three sides.
Restrictions on Use
◆ Cannot be used for structural assembly
◆Cannot be used on surfaces where plasticizers or solvents will seep out,as this may cause permanent damage to the sealant.
◆It is not recommended to be used in completely sealed spaces,as it may result in incomplete curing due to lack of water vapor.
◆Not recommended for use in places subject to long-term flooding
◆Not recommended for use on structural surfaces that will come into direct contact with food
◆Do not come into direct contact with the reflective coating of the mirror
◆Cannot be bonded to active metal materials such as copper and iron
