Universal acetoxy mildew-proof silicone sealant


Product Description

AA500F acetoxy silicone glass sealant is a single-component, acetic-curing silicone with mildew-proof function designed for glass bonding and assembly in doors, windows and bathrooms; it has good elasticity and can be used under a wide range of temperature conditions. It absorbs water vapor in the air and solidifies. It has good bonding to general glass and aluminum alloy.

After cured for 21 days at a humidity of 50±5% and a temperature of 23±2℃

Standard colors are white, black, gray, and transparent. Other colors can be provided according to customer needs.



Usage

AA500F is a one-component sealant that solidifies after contact with water vapor in the air. It is easy to operate and does not require stirring before use. It can be applied using a manual or pneumatic glue gun. Before applying the sealant, ensure that the surface of the substrate is dry and free of oil, grease, dust, etc. After applying the sealant, the sealant surface must be trimmed before the sealant surface forms a crust. When designing the glue joint, avoid three-sided bonding of the sealant.


Limitation of Use

◆Cannot be used for structural assembly

◆Cannot be used on surfaces that will leak plasticizers or solvents, which may cause the sealant to be damaged

◆Not recommended for use in completely sealed spaces, which may result in incomplete curing due to lack of water vapor

Construction

1. Cleaning of the substrate surface

(1) The purpose of surface treatment before bonding is to remove oil, dust, surface damage and loose natural oxide film on the substrate surface during production and transportation, roughen the substrate surface, form a surface morphology suitable for structural integration, and improve the surface chemical properties and durability under stress environmental factors.

(2) Cleaning solvents are usually isopropyl alcohol, methyl ethyl ketone, and xylene. The cleaning cloth should be white, clean, soft, and non-linting cotton cloth.

(3) The substrate surface is cleaned by the "double cloth wiping" method. The clean cloth is soaked with solvent. The substrate surface can only be wiped in one direction. Before the solvent evaporates, immediately use the second dry and clean cloth to wipe off the solvent on the substrate surface.

(4) Do not put the soaked rag into the container for soaking, otherwise the clean solvent will be contaminated, affecting the cleaning effect.

(5) Only clean the bonding and sealing construction part within 1 hour each time. Do not expose the cleaned substrate surface to the air for too long.


Make a bet

◆Use plastic tape to cover the surface near the interface. To ensure that the sealing work line is perfect and neat.

◆Cut the mouth of the hose, install the pointed nozzle, and then cut it at a 45°angle according to the size of the caulking.

◆Install the caulking gun, keep the 45° angle to press the glue along the gap to ensure that the sealant is in close contact with the surface of the substrate. When the width of the joint is greater than 15 mm, it is necessary to apply glue repeatedly. After applying the sealant, use a knife to trim the surface, remove the excess sealant, and then tear off the tape. If there is a stain, it can be removed with a wet cloth.


Pad material

Open-cell polyurethane or closed-cell polyethylene foam filling rods and polyolefin materials are recommended gasket materials to prevent the sealant from sticking on three sides.

Store the original sealant in a dry place, the temperature should not be higher than 27 degrees, the storage period is 12 months from the date of production.
