AN7510 serves as an anaerobic gasket sealant that begins life as an adhesive liquid with good flow ability. The liquid travels into the narrow gaps between the flange faces and joint surfaces of mechanical products, where exclusion of air lets it self-polymerize and cure at room temperature; the components end up strongly bonded and sealed, so that leaks cannot develop on the sealing surfaces. Applying this adhesive is also described on the page as simple, which is the reason users favor it.
A rigid adhesive layer with thixotropic flow and chemical resistance, for sealing working planes that run hot. and the rigid build matches flange sealing tightly; usual duties are gearbox split surfaces, crankcase split surfaces and cover plates seal.
